I have gotten onto the reusable water bottle trend, majorly! Being pregnant, I'm very conscious of my hydration. I get dehydrated? Well...morning sickness is a LOT more painful. When becoming a water drinker, it's easy to not think about the impact of all of those plastic bottles that you use when buying bottled water. They're so easy to grab and go, that the impact on the environment is your last concern. However, it's very real. And in fact, it can be dangerous for you as well! As the water sits in the bottle for (who knows how long!), the chemicals from the plastic can mix into the water. After seeing many documentaries about the link between bottled water and breast cancer, I'd rather not!
The only downside to glass bottles is their fragility! Purifyou has a solution to this problem in their Glass Water Bottle with Silicone cover. Many bottles that I've had that have a silicone cover a big and bulky. This one, however, is not. The grid of silicone coverage absorbs shock when dropped. It's very convenient (and a relief!). I also noticed that the silicone doesn't have a bad, chemically smell.
While my bigger bottles hold a lot of water, I typically can't finish the amount they hold by the time it's gone warm. I dump it out anyway, and refill it. This bottle is a more realistic 12 oz. This seems less intimidating to me, anyway! The bottle, being smaller, is much easier to hold. It's lighter in weight and the hoop on the lid makes it easy to attach to a backpack.
Overall, this is a great bottle for any use! It's small and compact, and is just generally great quality!
