#MaxxEliteMaxxDouble Maxx Elite Double Bottle Warmer Review!

One of the things on our registry was a bottle warmer. I plan to breastfeed and pump and use bottles, so storing milk means that it will need to be warmed after it is thawed or placed in the fridge. From what I have read (which could be entirely inaccurate), microwaves heat more unevenly than warm/hot water. In addition to that, microwaves also have been shown to zap the nutrients out of food/water (in one study that I read about plant growth and water that was microwaved vs. not). Whatever the case, I do know that microwaves are hard to get to a precise temperature, if not impossible, and every time I make soup, the heating is NOT even at all.

I was excited to get a bottle warmer so I could see how it worked before baby got here. I'll admit, when it arrived, I was intimidated by it. It looked complicated, had a lot of buttons, and I was afraid I would mess it up. However, once you really look at it and read, it's basically common sense and not hard to use at all!

In the beginning, we'll probably only use one side for the bottle, but when he's eating baby food, being able to heat up two flavors of food at once will be convenient. There's a lot of uses for this bottle warmer outside of baby, as well! I am a film photographer and I will be using this warmer to get the water for my mixtures to an exact temperature. Before, I had to use ice cubes and boiling to get it there.

This bottle warmer is VERY nice, overall. The quality is great. It's nice and hefty and not cheaply made at all. The most impressive thing to me was how the lid (clear plastic top) fits perfectly and securely onto the warmer. There's no slipping and sliding around when trying to get it to attach. The inside of the bottle warmer is very roomy and will literally fit any brand (I use Dr. Brown's). This warmer fits easily on the counter and while larger, it doesn't impose too much on the amount of room that you have. I selected the blue one, and the color is adorable for our little guy. The plastic outside isn't porous (it's very smooth and glossy) and is easily wiped down. The cord for the power is long enough to reach a reasonable distance.

Overall, I'd highly suggest this as a personal purchase for a baby shower gift, animal rescue, or hobby where warmed/heated water is needed. It's a great price for a great quality product that will make your life easier.

I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. My review was not influenced in any way by this discount. I did not discuss the content of this review with anyone before typing it or posting it here. I was not compensated for my review and all opinions expressed are 100% my own and under the assumption that I paid full price.
